Verifiable AI legal OS for law firms in Japan
AILEX is an AI legal operating system for small law firms in Japan. It reads case records, organises the other side's arguments with references to the source document and page, drafts briefs, and prepares filing packages for mints, the Japanese courts' e-filing system. Lawyers check every output, make the legal judgement and submit filings themselves.

FAQs
AILEX is an AI legal operating system for law firms in Japan. It reads case records, organises arguments with citations to the source page, drafts briefs, manages deadlines and billing, and prepares filing packages for the courts' mints system. Lawyers review all output and keep the final legal judgement.
No. AILEX prepares the filing package for mints, with exhibit numbers stamped, large files split and file names tidied, and drafts the input fields. It never sends anything to mints itself. The lawyer uploads and submits the filing on mints, and AILEX records the result.
In AILEX v2, case records are stored in the AWS Tokyo region and AI inference runs only on Amazon Bedrock's Japan-only profiles in Tokyo and Osaka. Inputs and outputs are not used to train models, and more than 80 types of operations are recorded in an audit log the firm can export.
It is designed for small law firms in Japan with one to five lawyers. Lawyers, paralegals and office staff join as users of the same firm, with role-based permissions and per-matter access. It focuses on Japanese legal workflows and court systems, not Indian law.
There is one paid plan at ¥13,200 per seat per month including tax, the same for lawyers and staff, billed monthly. Each seat includes 60 drafts and 1,000 pages of reading a month. New firms get a one-month free trial with no automatic upgrade, and judicial trainees can use it free during their training.
