Anthropic has added a gallery of ready-made legal artifacts to Claude, giving legal teams interactive tools for contract review, regulatory tracking and request intake that they can adapt and share across the business. The release comes five months after Claude for Legal launched in May and responds to the two requests legal teams raised most: simpler setup and easier collaboration with colleagues.
Anthropic moves from model supplier to legal workspace
Until now, most legal AI reached lawyers through specialist vendors that built their own interfaces on top of foundation models. Artifacts change that arrangement. They are interactive trackers and dashboards that live inside Claude, open with a worked example, and link every output back to its source. Legal teams supply their own documents and data; Claude does the first pass; a lawyer applies judgment to the result.
The connector count shows how far that strategy has already run. Anthropic says it has added more than 60 legal connectors since May, including Bloomberg Law, Filevine, Ivo, Legora and Patlytics, so artifacts can draw on playbooks and research sources without manual uploads.
Six core tools plus partner builds from firms and vendors
The gallery's core set covers cite checking against sources, multi-jurisdiction survey tables, a matter board built from engagement letters and emails, playbook deviation boards for contracts, regulatory horizon scans ranked by impact, and tabular contract review with links to the exact clause language.
Partners have contributed their own builds. Goodwin offers an AI Governance Benchmark, Harvey an intake tool that routes business questions to its platform, Foley & Lardner an obligations checker for deals, and PwC a subpoena response tool built on a team's precedents. Legora and Orrick have more artifacts on the way. Nine artifacts focus on access to justice, five of them built by nonprofits Anthropic supported with Claude credits, covering eviction ledgers, record sealing, criminal charges and immigration paperwork. Anthropic is also funding legal education programs and opening a Legal Ambassadors Program for practitioners who build with Claude.
Legal tech vendors now compete inside Claude
The release reframes the competitive map for legal technology. When Harvey, Legora, Ivo and Ironclad all appear inside the same workspace, the general-purpose assistant becomes a distribution layer, and specialist products compete on the depth of the data and workflow behind their connectors. Enterprise legal buyers gain a single place for business teams to raise legal work, but also a new governance question: which tools run inside Claude, and under whose controls. Sharing settings that support ethical walls suggest Anthropic expects firms and in-house teams to press on exactly that point.
DreamLegal Perspective
Vendors should treat Claude connectors as a primary channel, not an add-on, and make sure their data stays the system of record when work starts elsewhere. Legal operations teams should pilot one gallery artifact against their current tool for the same task, measure the time saved and the review burden on lawyers, and set clear rules on which matters can run through shared artifacts before adoption spreads informally across the business.
