Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman formally launched Ode with Anthropic, an enterprise AI services company backed by a consortium of the world's largest private equity and growth investors. The venture, which had been teased earlier this year, now enters the market with a named entity, a leadership team, and a war chest assembled from some of the most recognizable firms in global finance.

The launch marks a significant escalation in the race to commercialize large language models for enterprises. Rather than relying on traditional consulting firms to guide clients through AI adoption, Anthropic has opted to build its own frontline deployment engine. The strategy signals that AI companies increasingly view hands-on implementation, not just model access, as the critical revenue layer. The formation of Ode follows Anthropic's acquisition of Fractional AI in May 2026, an applied AI services firm whose technical team now forms the operational backbone of the new entity. Chris Taylor and Eddie Siegel, co-founders of Fractional AI, continue as CEO and CTO, respectively, lending continuity to an integration that could otherwise have been destabilizing.
