BakerHostetler Partners with vLex for AI Integration

BakerHostetler has entered a strategic three-year agreement with global legal data company vLex to integrate AI-driven legal intelligence directly into the firm's workflow systems. The partnership will provide BakerHostetler's lawyers across 18 offices with enterprise access to Vincent, vLex's AI-powered legal platform.

This partnership matters because it represents a technical integration approach rather than simple software adoption. BakerHostetler will work with vLex forward-deployed engineers to connect vLex's data and APIs directly into the firm's proprietary data platforms, creating customized capabilities for client service.

Integration Approach

BakerHostetler will collaborate with vLex engineers on direct API integration into the firm's existing data infrastructure. This technical partnership aims to embed vLex's legal intelligence into BakerHostetler's practice systems rather than operating as a standalone tool.

The firm launched its enterprise data management strategy nearly a decade ago and established one of the first specialized data-driven practice groups in the legal market.

Platform Capabilities

Vincent operates on vLex's database of over 1 billion editorially enriched legal documents. The platform delivers legal research, workflow automation, and practice intelligence adapted to user requirements.

Technical Development

The three-year partnership includes a development program to create integrated intelligence systems combining Vincent's workflows with BakerHostetler's practice data. More than 1,000 lawyers at the firm will have access to the integrated platform.
