CaseMine Launches AMICUS AI Advanced for Legal Work

CaseMine has released AMICUS AI Advanced, a new AI model designed for legal professionals in India, offering enhanced reasoning and document analysis capabilities.

CaseMine, a legal technology platform, launched AMICUS AI Advanced on March 10, 2026. The new model is designed to handle complex legal tasks with greater accuracy than its predecessor. This launch is significant because it signals a shift in how AI tools are being developed for the legal sector in India, with a focus on both performance and affordability.

Two Models Now

CaseMine now offers two versions of its AI assistant: AMICUS AI Standard and AMICUS AI Advanced. The Standard model remains available for existing users. The Advanced model is positioned as the more powerful option for professionals handling complex legal matters.

The platform introduced AMICUS AI as a conversational assistant capable of helping users with legal research, document analysis, drafting arguments, summarising documents, and identifying key legal issues. It functions as a general-purpose tool, not one built for a single task.

Users can interact with AMICUS AI in an open chat environment and request a range of legal outputs depending on the task at hand. This makes it different from tools designed to perform only one type of function.

How It Was Tested

CaseMine developed the Advanced model after extensive internal testing and benchmarking against its existing system. The company maintains an internal benchmarking framework that evaluates AI systems across specific legal tasks.

Those tasks include legal research, document analysis, drafting, issue spotting, and complex legal reasoning. Based on these evaluations, AMICUS AI Advanced delivered the strongest performance of any model deployed on the platform to date.

The benchmarking framework covers at least five distinct legal task categories. This kind of structured internal evaluation is relatively uncommon among legal AI providers in India, where most assessments rely on qualitative feedback.

What It Does Better

AMICUS AI Advanced brings three key improvements over the Standard model: more sophisticated reasoning, stronger document comprehension, and improved drafting quality. These gains are most significant for complex legal queries and matters involving multiple documents.

The improvements matter most for legal professionals who regularly work with large volumes of case material or need to draft precise legal arguments. For simpler tasks, the Standard Model continues to serve its purpose.

CaseMine has not disclosed specific performance metrics from its benchmarking results. However, the company states that the Advanced model surpassed the capabilities of every model previously deployed on the platform.

Pricing and Access

Despite the performance improvements, CaseMine has chosen to price AMICUS AI Advanced competitively. The company said its focus remains on keeping AI tools within reach for the wider legal ecosystem in India.

"From the beginning, our focus has been on ensuring that AI tools remain accessible to the wider legal ecosystem in India," the company said. It added that AMICUS AI Advanced has been priced so that professionals across the legal space can benefit from it.

The Standard version of AMICUS AI will continue to remain available alongside the Advanced model. Users who do not need the additional capabilities of the Advanced model can continue using Standard without any change.

The dual-model approach allows CaseMine to serve two distinct segments: professionals who need deeper analysis and higher-quality outputs, and those who need reliable, everyday legal assistance at a lower cost.

CaseMine has not publicly disclosed the pricing figures for either model. The company's stated priority is to ensure that cost does not become a barrier to adoption across the legal sector.
