Clio Names Former Michigan Chief Justice to Lead Judiciary Expansion

Clio has appointed former Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Bridget Mary McCormack as general manager of its judiciary business, with her start scheduled for October 2026. McCormack will oversee market and commercial strategy as the legal technology company builds a business aimed at courts, judicial officers and dispute-resolution organizations. Her appointment adds senior leadership with direct experience running a state court system to Clio’s push into a market where procurement, public accountability and institutional trust carry greater weight than they do in much of commercial legal software.

The move follows Clio’s August appointment of Pablo Arredondo as senior vice president, judiciary. Arredondo is responsible for product and strategic direction, while McCormack will focus on market development and commercial execution. McCormack spent nearly a decade on the Michigan Supreme Court, including four years as chief justice, and led efforts focused on court modernization and public service. Earlier, she represented people unable to afford counsel and helped establish the Michigan Innocence Clinic, which exonerated 12 people during her four years leading it.
