Descrybe Legal Engine Lands in Microsoft 365 Copilot as Default Connector

Descrybe confirmed on September 2, 2026 that its Legal Engine is live as a Microsoft-published, default-enabled connector inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft flagged the Boston-based legal intelligence firm among six new legal services offerings in its August 31 Copilot update, placing it alongside Harvey, iManage Work, Boardwise, Relativity, and Everlaw.

The placement carries practical weight. Microsoft-published federated connectors arrive switched on for Microsoft 365 tenants unless administrators actively disable them, and users can activate Descrybe from Copilot's Sources menu without configuring a separate MCP connection. That removes friction that has slowed legal AI adoption inside large firms and corporate legal departments. Descrybe has spent the last year building its Legal Engine as infrastructure rather than a standalone product, aiming to push structured U.S. primary-law intelligence into whichever AI assistant a buyer already licenses. The company already maintains connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. The Microsoft deal adds the most important distribution surface yet, because Copilot sits inside the productivity suite where lawyers draft, email, and collaborate daily.
