Epiq Expands AI Tools for Legal and Compliance Work

Epiq launches six agentic AI solutions on March 5, 2026, targeting legal review, antitrust, and compliance workflows.

Epiq, a legal technology and services company, announced the expansion of its Epiq AI platform on March 5, 2026, in New York. The company added five new agentic AI solutions to its existing discovery tool, all hosted within the Epiq Service Cloud. The move addresses specific bottlenecks in legal review, privilege classification, antitrust filings, and compliance investigations.

Legal teams routinely face delays and errors when manually reviewing large volumes of documents for litigation and regulatory matters. Epiq's expanded suite directly targets these workflows with automated classification, analysis, and reporting tools built on a shared AI platform.

New Solutions

The expanded Epiq AI lineup now includes six distinct products. Epiq AI for Review, formerly called Epiq AI Discovery Assistant, automates review protocol development and document classification. Epiq AI for Privilege handles privilege classification and log creation, analyzing documents across entire document families rather than individual files.

Epiq AI for Antitrust focuses on Hart-Scott-Rodino pre-merger filings, merger reviews, second requests, and government investigations. Epiq AI for Compliance supports data collection and analysis for compliance investigations and risk assessments.

Two additional tools round out the suite. Epiq Assist brings conversational AI to early case assessment, deposition preparation, and incoming production review. Epiq AI Accelerators add capabilities directly inside RelativityOne and Relativity Server, including translation, image analysis, and optical character recognition.

The Platform Behind It

All six solutions run on the Epiq AI Laer platform, which coordinates models, agents, and human reviewers to handle complex legal workflows. The platform uses a persistent AI knowledge layer that stores and builds on prior analysis over time.

Igor Labutov, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Technology at Epiq, described how the platform works: "By gathering factual intelligence around entities and applying logic to reveal deeper relationships and patterns, the Epiq AI Laer platform significantly increases the accuracy, depth of insights, and scale that Epiq AI solutions can deliver. User instructions and feedback are the guiding mechanism that enables the platform to synthesize information, coordinate the right models, and apply critical thinking to decide what to do next."

The platform's design separates it from other agentic AI tools by maintaining a continuous knowledge base rather than processing each task in isolation.

Early Adoption

Since its original launch as Epiq AI Discovery Assistant in January 2025, the platform has gained 130 clients. That client base includes global corporations and law firms. Epiq supports these clients with a team of more than 200 professionals, including AI consultants, data scientists, product managers, architects, and engineers.

Epiq demonstrated several of the new solutions at Legalweek. Epiq AI for Privilege and Epiq AI Accelerators are both scheduled to become available in spring 2026.
