Everlaw and Legora Unite to Bridge AI Discovery and Drafting

Everlaw and Legora announced a strategic technology partnership, connecting AI-powered litigation discovery and drafting tools for legal teams worldwide.

Legal teams have long worked across disconnected tools, running document review in one platform, drafting briefs in another, and managing case strategy in yet another. This fragmentation forces attorneys to manually transfer evidence between systems, which slows down work and increases the risk of errors in court submissions. The Everlaw-Legora partnership directly addresses this by linking two major litigation platforms into a single, connected workflow.

The Core Problem

Litigation teams handling large document sets face a specific bottleneck: evidence gathered during the discovery phase (the pre-trial process where parties exchange relevant documents) rarely flows directly into the drafting stage. Attorneys must export files, search manually, and re-import materials into their writing tools. This adds hours to matters that already involve tight deadlines and large data volumes. Everlaw counts Fortune 100 corporate counsel and 91 of the Am Law 200 among its customers. Legora is used by legal professionals at more than 1,000 law firms and in-house legal teams across over 50 countries.

What the Integration Does

Through this integration, Legora users can access documents stored in Everlaw directly within Legora's drafting environment. Attorneys can use Everlaw's AI Deep Dive tool to query millions of documents without leaving Legora. Results, including source citations tied to specific Bates-stamped documents (sequentially numbered documents used in legal proceedings), are pulled directly into drafts.

This means a litigator preparing for a deposition can search tens of millions of documents in real time, retrieve relevant passages, and have them appear in a draft with source links intact. The integration covers multiple work types, including witness statements, deposition questions, and trial briefs.

The partnership also preserves user permission controls across both platforms. Each Legora user can access only the documents they are already authorized to view in Everlaw. Legal teams handling sensitive or privileged materials retain the same access restrictions they have set within Everlaw, removing a security concern that has slowed AI adoption in litigation.

The integration will be available to mutual customers of Everlaw and Legora in the coming months. No specific release date has been confirmed. The companies did not disclose financial terms of the partnership.

The combined workflow spans early case assessment, discovery, analysis, legal research, and drafting, aiming to reduce the number of separate tools and manual steps legal teams currently rely on when building litigation strategy from large document sets.
