Everlaw has announced Omni, an agentic AI investigation suite, and Workflows, a tool for designing and automating complex document reviews with human checkpoints. The company unveiled both at Everlaw Summit in San Francisco, alongside Everlaw for Word, which links legal writing to the case record.

Built on fast adoption of Deep Dive

Omni extends Deep Dive, Everlaw's existing tool for investigating across a full evidence set. Customers have added more than 300 million documents to Deep Dive and asked nearly 100,000 questions. Bracewell, Vorys and Cole, Scott & Kissane are among the Am Law firms already using Omni through early access.

The launch targets a familiar gap. Even with AI, litigators often stitch together searches, timelines and findings across several tools, then coordinate the review that follows. Everlaw is going after both sides: the investigation and the process. The launches build on its end-to-end approach, covering legal holds and preservation through review, production, deposition preparation and trial.

An agent that works like an expert user

The Omni Agent takes plain-language prompts, such as establishing who knew what and when, then orchestrates Everlaw's features to return a citation-backed analysis, timeline or visualization. Case Memory extracts facts from complaints, depositions and other documents into a central fact library that feeds Storybuilder. Omni works within existing permissions, links insights to source pages or paragraphs and records the tools it invokes.

Workflows gives review managers a drag-and-drop canvas to route documents, create assignments, apply codes and require approvals before work moves forward. Workflows arrives in November at no extra cost. Omni is expected to be generally available in early 2027 as a premium offering, with pricing to come. Everlaw for Word is available now for Storybuilder customers.

eDiscovery vendors push into agentic litigation work

Everlaw is positioning itself as the evidence layer for legal AI: the governed system of record that other tools must connect to. That matters as general legal AI platforms move toward litigation tasks. By building agents directly on the evidence, eDiscovery platforms argue they can offer defensibility that outside tools cannot. Rivals such as Relativity and Casepoint are also adding agentic features, so the contest will turn on transparency, audit trails and price. Pricing Omni as a premium add-on will also test how much litigation teams will pay for agentic features on top of existing platform fees.

DreamLegal Perspective

Litigation teams should evaluate Omni on defensibility, not speed alone: how its citations, tool records and permissions hold up if a process is challenged. Litigation support leaders should pilot Workflows early, since it is included at no cost and can standardize review practice. Vendors outside eDiscovery should note that the evidence layer is becoming contested ground, and integration with platforms like Everlaw may decide access to litigation work.
