Finch raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand AI-powered legal support for personal injury law firms.
Legal tech startup Finch announced a $20 million Series A funding round on October 14, 2025, led by Redpoint Ventures with participation from Sequoia Capital and Liquid 2 Ventures. The company provides AI-powered pre-litigation services for personal injury law firms, aiming to address the gap where over 75% of Americans cannot access legal counsel when needed.
The funding addresses a critical access-to-justice problem. Personal injury victims often struggle with medical bills and insurance claims without legal representation, while law firms turn away cases due to administrative burdens. Finch's technology enables firms to handle more clients by automating routine tasks, directly expanding legal service availability.
Funding Details
Redpoint Ventures led the round, with Managing Director Satish Dharmaraj joining Finch's board. Previous investors Sequoia Capital and Liquid 2 Ventures participated, alongside individual backers including DoorDash CEO Tony Xu and Ironclad founder Jason Boehmig.
"Finch flips the economics of a law firm on its head using cutting edge AI technology," said Satish Dharmaraj. "It's not an incremental bet, it's a tectonic shift and Finch is helping these firms embrace AI to become more profitable."
Service Model
Finch combines legal operators with AI agents to manage personal injury cases from client intake through settlement demand preparation. The platform automates records retrieval, insurance communications, and document preparation tasks that typically consume attorney time.
Law firm partner Paul Campson stated: "We would not have scaled so far and fast without Finch. I wake up and see all these retainers that finch has signed - there's truly no better pre-lit out there."
Growth Metrics
Since launching in April 2025, Finch has grown its law firm partnerships by 10x in six months. Partner firms have tripled their case volumes on average. Client engagement shows strong retention, with firms using Finch on 2.5 times more cases in their third month compared to their first month.
Several partner firms have secured seven-figure settlements and expanded into new geographic markets without hiring additional case management staff.
