Grupo Financiero Inbursa Deploys Harvey AI in Latin America Expansion

The deal extends Harvey's geographic footprint beyond its core U.S. and European customer base, which includes major law firms and Big Four professional services networks. Latin America's legal technology market has attracted growing vendor attention as regional banks contend with rising litigation volume, fragmented regulatory regimes, and mounting pressure to modernize in-house legal operations. Harvey, which has raised significant capital at multibillion-dollar valuations, has been relatively quiet about financial institution clients outside North America—making the Inbursa announcement a notable reference win in a competitive segment.

Inbursa's litigation team is using Harvey to manage thousands of court and regulatory notices annually, analyze contentious matters, and prepare for oral proceedings. Adoption is slated to expand into M&A due diligence, regulatory analysis, and contract review. Sergio Humberto Reyes Valdovinos, Subdirector Jurídico Contencioso II, said the bank sought technology to systematize legal workflows and redirect attorney time toward strategic judgment. Harvey Co-Founder and CEO Winston Weinberg framed the deployment as evidence that forward-looking financial institutions want AI to improve decision quality, not merely speed. Harvey confirmed it is expanding its Mexico City team to support regional customers.
