Harvey has appointed Rachel Hepworth as its Chief Marketing Officer on April 28, 2026, to lead global marketing as the company expands.
Hepworth brings experience from two major workplace software companies. She joins Harvey after serving as CMO at Notion, an AI-powered productivity platform. Before Notion, she held senior marketing roles at Slack. Most recently, she advised AI companies including Lovable and Clay.
This hire signals that Harvey is investing in brand and market positioning at a time of rapid growth and increasing competition in the legal AI space.
Hepworth's Background
Hepworth has built her career at companies focused on changing how people work. Her roles at Slack and Notion gave her experience scaling marketing operations for high-growth software businesses.
In her most recent work, she served as an advisor to Lovable and Clay, two AI companies, giving her direct exposure to how the AI market is evolving. Harvey said Hepworth has helped companies "communicate their value at scale."
Why This Hire Matters
Harvey now partners with the majority of the AmLaw 100, which is a ranking of the 100 highest-grossing law firms in the United States. The platform is also used by over 500 in-house legal teams and 50 asset management firms across 60 countries. More than 100,000 lawyers across 1,300 organizations use Harvey.
The company crossed $100 million in annual recurring revenue in August 2025. By January 2026, that figure had risen to $190 million. In March 2026, Harvey raised $200 million in new funding, co-led by GIC and Sequoia Capital, bringing its total capital raised to over $1 billion.
With this level of growth, Harvey needs leadership that can clearly communicate its platform's value to large law firms and corporate legal teams worldwide.
Hepworth's Goals at Harvey
Hepworth stated her priorities directly upon joining. "I've spent my career at companies reshaping how work gets done, and the stakes in law could not be higher," she said. "Trust, precision, and craft are critical. Harvey is the leader driving this change and I'm excited to be a part of building what comes next."
Her focus will be on helping Harvey reach and connect with its core markets: large in-house legal teams and large law firms. These remain the primary buyers of legal AI platforms.
The legal AI market is growing rapidly. Harvey currently operates across 60 countries and has offices in San Francisco, New York, Toronto, and Bengaluru. The company runs more than 25,000 custom AI agents for tasks including contract drafting, due diligence, and document review.
Competition and Market Context
Harvey operates in a market that is becoming more competitive. Several legal AI platforms are expanding their marketing efforts and entering new markets. At the same time, foundation model providers like Anthropic are pursuing law firms directly, adding pressure on dedicated legal AI platforms to demonstrate their distinct value.
Harvey's platform supports AI agents that run legal workflows from start to finish. These agents handle multi-step tasks over extended periods, covering areas such as fund formation, M&A due diligence, and contract analysis. Customers can also build their own agents using Harvey's no-code Agent Builder tool, launched in March 2026.
The appointment of a CMO with Hepworth's background reflects how seriously Harvey is treating the challenge of reaching and retaining buyers in this environment.
