Harvey Partners with Six Law Schools for AI Integration

Harvey launched its law school alliance program with Stanford, UCLA, NYU, University of Michigan, Notre Dame, and UT, embedding its generative AI technology directly into law school curricula starting in the 2025-26 academic year.

This partnership addresses the growing need to prepare law students for an AI-integrated legal profession. Law firms increasingly expect new hires to possess AI expertise, making this educational integration crucial for student career readiness.

Program Structure and Implementation

The alliance includes Stanford Law School, NYU School of Law, University of Michigan Law School, UCLA School of Law, The University of Texas School of Law, and Notre Dame Law School. Notre Dame completed a rigorous one-year pilot program before joining the full launch.

Students, faculty, and administrators will receive access to Harvey's platform throughout the academic year. The Harvey team will collaborate with participating schools to develop generative AI curricula and create specialized learning content.

The program focuses on practical applications including effective prompting for case preparation, document preparation acceleration, and data source management. These skills target specific inefficiencies that junior lawyers typically face in their early careers.
