Harvey, the legal AI platform, raised $200 million at an $11 billion valuation to expand AI agents across law firms and enterprises globally.
The raise signals a turning point in legal technology. AI agents are no longer tools that assist lawyers with isolated tasks. They now run entire workflows from start to finish, handling complex legal work that once required significant manual effort.
The Funding Round
GIC and Sequoia co-led the round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Conviction Partners, Elad Gil, Evantic, and Kleiner Perkins. The announcement was made on March 25, 2026. Harvey will use the capital to expand the agents its customers deploy and to grow embedded legal engineering teams that support those customers around the world. The company has now raised more than $1 billion in total funding.
What Harvey Does
Harvey is a platform built for law firms and in-house legal teams. More than 25,000 custom agents operate on Harvey today, executing work across mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, contract drafting, and document review.
Customers are deploying long-horizon agents, meaning agents that carry out multi-step workflows over extended periods of time. One example is fund formation, a process that involves multiple legal documents, parties, and regulatory steps. Harvey also offers Shared Spaces, a feature that enables legal teams and their external partners to coordinate work securely within a single environment.
Harvey's legal engineers work closely with customers to build and enhance the agents that manage their workflows. This combination of software and human support is a core part of how the company delivers its product.
Winston Weinberg, CEO and co-founder of Harvey, described the shift taking place in the legal industry: "AI isn't just assisting lawyers. It's becoming the system through which legal work gets done. The law firms and in-house teams leading the way are building agents that execute complex workflows so lawyers can focus on judgment, strategy, and outcomes."
Growth and Customers
Harvey's growth over the past year has been significant. The platform now works with the majority of the AmLaw 100, which refers to the 100 highest-grossing law firms in the United States. It also serves over 500 in-house legal teams and 50 asset management firms across 60 countries.
More than 100,000 lawyers across 1,300 organizations run their most critical work on Harvey. Recent customer additions include NBCUniversal, HSBC, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and McCann Fitzgerald, which has gone firmwide on the platform. DLA Piper International has also expanded its existing work with Harvey.
This month, Harvey launched its Customer Advisory Board, bringing together representatives from across its user base to guide the platform's development.
Pat Grady, partner at Sequoia, spoke to the firm's continued confidence in Harvey: "Harvey has become the platform on which legal work runs. Co-leading three rounds in the same company is rare for Sequoia and reflects conviction that has only grown stronger since we first partnered at the Series A. More than 100,000 lawyers around the world run their most critical work on Harvey, and we believe it's positioned to become one of the most important companies of the next decade."
Why This Round Matters
Legal work has historically been time-intensive and difficult to scale. Tasks like reviewing large volumes of documents, drafting contracts, or managing due diligence processes require trained professionals and significant hours. Harvey's platform addresses this by enabling agents to handle these tasks systematically, allowing lawyers to focus on higher-order work such as strategy and client judgment.
The $11 billion valuation places Harvey among the most valuable AI companies focused on a specific professional sector. The scale of investor participation, including multiple returning investors co-leading the round, reflects sustained confidence in the platform's direction and commercial traction.
The legal AI market is still developing, and Harvey's expansion into asset management and enterprise in-house teams alongside law firms shows the platform is not limited to one segment of the legal industry.
