HEUKING Extends Harvey AI Access to All Staff Groups in Firmwide Rollout
German law firm HEUKING has extended access to Harvey's legal AI platform beyond its attorney ranks to include legal assistants and business services staff, embedding generative AI as a common operational layer across every professional group within the firm.

The expansion, formalized in June 2026, breaks from the lawyer-centric deployment model that has defined most early legal AI rollouts and signals a maturing approach to embedding AI into end-to-end matter workflows.
The move comes as Harvey consolidates its position in the European legal technology market, with the DACH region emerging as a particularly active theater for generative AI adoption among mid-tier and large firms. HEUKING began its Harvey deployment in July 2024 with approximately 50 pilot users, a group that generated enough internal demand to create a waiting list before the firm opened access to its full legal team by autumn of that year. The decision to push access further, to non-lawyer staff, reflects a structural insight: legal work is collaborative by nature, and AI tools confined to attorneys alone create friction at every handoff point in a matter's lifecycle.
