K&L Gates Deploys AI Platform to 1,000 Lawyers Globally

K&L Gates has announced a global rollout of Legora's AI platform to 1,000 lawyers following a successful pilot across the US, Europe, UK, and Australia.

The global law firm announced on February 6, 2026, after completing a multi-jurisdictional pilot that spanned Corporate, Finance, Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Asset Management and Investment Funds practices. The implementation marks one of the largest AI deployments in the legal sector this year.

The firmwide rollout demonstrates how established law firms are moving AI tools from experimental phases into core operational infrastructure. K&L Gates' approach combines scale with security, using Legora's collaborative portal to integrate clients directly into AI-enabled workflows.

Pilot Program

The pilot program engaged lawyers across multiple regions and practice areas. Partners actively led adoption efforts, embedding generative AI into complex legal workflows. Their involvement accelerated the technology's integration across teams.

K&L Gates focused on client collaboration during testing. The firm explored the Legora Portal, a platform that allows secure document sharing and collaboration between firms and clients. This feature lets clients participate in AI-enabled workflows directly.

Implementation Details

The platform currently supports tens of thousands of lawyers daily at 700 customers in more than 50 markets. Legora expects to more than double in size over the next year. The company plans to open additional global hubs to serve its expanding client base.
