LegalOn Launches Matter Management Platform

LegalOn Technologies announced on July 15, 2025, that it is expanding from AI-driven contract review into matter management with a major platform upgrade. The San Francisco-based legal technology company now allows legal departments to manage intake and execution of all legal requests, not just contracts. The expansion addresses workflow inefficiencies that occur before and after contract review processes.

This expansion transforms LegalOn from a specialized contract review tool into a comprehensive legal workflow platform. Legal departments can now handle the entire request lifecycle—from initial intake through final resolution—while maintaining the AI-powered contract analysis that built the company's reputation.

New Matter Management Features Address Workflow Gaps

LegalOn's new Matter Management organizes and tracks legal work across departments including sales, marketing, HR, and finance. The platform allows legal teams to intake requests through multiple channels: Slack, email, web forms, or direct entry.

The system filters and assigns matters by status, team, or requester through a dashboard with real-time notifications. Teams can track progress, identify overdue items, and maintain complete audit trails linking matters to files, templates, and clauses.

Platform Updates Include Multi-Language Support

LegalOn unveiled a new interface alongside platform-wide updates to its Review tool, which reduces contract review time by up to 85%. The AI system now reviews counterparty redlines to first-party contracts, assessing whether changes meet acceptable fallback positions beyond preferred language.

The platform adds translation capabilities across 28 languages. Contracts automatically translate into English for review, then return to the original language when edits complete. This addresses the challenge of multinational contract management without requiring multilingual legal expertise.

LegalOn's Knowledge Core transforms existing contracts, matters, and templates into searchable intelligence. The system learns continuously to help users apply past knowledge to current contracts and matters.

AI Assistant Capabilities Expand Across Platform

LegalOn Assistant now provides support from intake through matter resolution. Users can query individual contracts or entire repositories, summarize contract terms and redlines, draft clauses, find precedents, and translate contracts.
