LegalTechTalk Joins Hyve to Accelerate Global Expansion and Legal Innovation

Hyve Group has acquired LegalTechTalk, a European legal technology event business that drew 5,500 attendees to its 2026 London conference, marking the B2B events giant's entry into the legal supervertical. The acquisition gives LegalTechTalk access to Hyve's operational infrastructure and international expansion capabilities, while positioning Hyve to replicate its playbook from healthcare and retail verticals in the legal technology space.

Founded in 2023, LegalTechTalk rapidly scaled to become Europe's largest legal technology gathering, attracting a heavily C-suite audience—62 percent senior decision-makers—and 400 speakers spanning law firms, in-house legal teams, technology vendors, and investors. Its trajectory from startup to acquisition target reflects the broader maturation of legal technology as a distinct market category. Hyve, which operates major events including the healthcare conference HLTH and retail-focused Shoptalk, has built a strategy around acquiring specialized vertical events with proven community traction and scaling them internationally.

Under the deal, co-founders Mikkel Jensen and Bradley Collins remain with the business. LegalTechTalk will continue operating its flagship London event—scheduled for June 2027 at the InterContinental O2—while accelerating a US launch planned for December 2027 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Terms were not disclosed. Hyve CEO Mark Shashoua framed the acquisition explicitly around capturing the legal industry's ongoing transformation, noting the company entered the sector to serve what it calls the "Legal SuperVertical."
