Legora has integrated continuously updated US statutory and regulatory law from Wolters Kluwer Legal and Regulatory US (LRUS) into its workflows, giving lawyers access to current federal and state legal texts without switching platforms.
This integration addresses a specific gap in legal AI tools: the disconnect between monitoring regulatory changes and acting on them. Until now, lawyers had to move between separate platforms to access authoritative legal texts and then run analysis on client documents.
What the Deal Covers
The partnership brings LRUS's library of US statutes, regulations, executive orders, and federal legislation into Legora's platform. The content is continuously updated, which means lawyers work with current legal text rather than static snapshots.
The coverage spans both federal and state law. When an amended state employment statute or a new SEC proposed rule is published, the updated text becomes available inside Legora.
How It Works in Practice
Legora users can now query current legal text, run an agent-assisted impact assessment against their own documents, and produce a client-ready deliverable within a single workflow.
"With Wolters Kluwer Legal and Regulatory US partnership, you get continuously updated US statutory and regulatory law and the agent-powered workflows to act on it, in one place inside Legora," said Legora CEO Max Junestrand. "A new executive order drops, you can query the text, run an impact assessment against your client's documents, and have a deliverable ready, without ever switching tabs. That's what it means to build for how lawyers actually work."
Previously, a lawyer tracking a regulatory development would need to access a legal database separately, review the updated text, and then return to another tool to run document analysis. That multi-step, multi-platform process is what the Legora and LRUS integration aims to remove.
Who Uses This
The integration is built for lawyers handling high-stakes compliance and regulatory work. The content standard provided by LRUS is described as the one lawyers rely on for such matters, covering federal legislation and state-level statutory updates.
Lawyers managing client exposure to regulatory changes, such as new SEC rules or amendments to employment law, are the primary users. The workflow supports querying new legal text, assessing its impact on existing client documents, and delivering findings, all within the same platform session.
