LexisNexis has hired former Orrick attorney Allison Citron to spearhead enterprise AI adoption strategy for its large law firm clients, effective July 2026. The move signals the company's intent to position itself not merely as a technology vendor but as a consultancy-grade partner for firms weighing generative AI investments across transactional and restructuring practices.

The legal AI market has entered a decisive phase. Firms face mounting pressure from clients demanding faster, more cost-efficient work product, yet many remain paralyzed by choice amid a crowded field of AI tools. Thomson Reuters, Harvey, CoCounsel, and a wave of well-funded startups all compete for a share of enterprise legal spend.
