Lineal Expands with ProFile Discovery Acquisition

Lineal, a global legal technology services provider, announced its acquisition of ProFile Discovery, an eDiscovery and computer forensics company based in Columbus, Ohio. The deal marks Lineal's first acquisition and expands the company's presence in Ohio while adding new trial support and digital forensics capabilities.

The acquisition addresses the growing demand for comprehensive legal technology services by combining ProFile's regional expertise with Lineal's global infrastructure. Legal teams increasingly need integrated solutions spanning discovery, forensics, and trial support rather than working with multiple vendors.

Strategic Expansion Into Ohio Market

ProFile Discovery operates from Columbus with additional Cleveland operations, giving Lineal its first significant presence in Ohio's legal technology market. The acquisition brings new in-house trial support capabilities and expanded Reveal expertise to Lineal's service portfolio.

The combined organization will offer clients access to RelativityOne, Amplify™ Review, and advanced data solutions alongside ProFile's existing forensics and trial support services. ProFile specializes in electronic discovery, forensic analysis, cybersecurity evaluation, and incident response.
