Mishcon Adopts Legora AI Platform After Pilot Success

Mishcon de Reya adopts Legora's AI platform firmwide following a three-month pilot that showed high engagement across practice areas.

The London-based law firm will roll out Legora to all fee earners across every practice area after the trial period demonstrated strong user adoption. The pilot involved lawyers from corporate, real estate, private, and innovation teams who tested the platform's capabilities and provided direct feedback on its functionality.

Platform Replaces In-House Tool

Mishcon previously used its own generative AI tool called deReyAI for two years before seeking an external solution. The firm selected Legora because it offered enhanced capabilities beyond their internal system.

Broad User Adoption Across Firm Levels

Usage data revealed that paralegals, associates, and partners all utilized the platform for various tasks. The trial produced several "super users" who emerged as platform advocates within the firm.

Natsha Holme, Managing Associate in the Private Wealth Disputes team, described Legora's practical applications: "It has proven invaluable for tasks such as summarising large volumes of information, extracting relevant data from documents, creating polished drafts from rough notes, and proofreading documents."

Growing Client Base

Legora has secured contracts with multiple large law firms over the past year, including Addleshaw Goddard, Taylor Wessing, Dentons, and Goodwin. The Sweden-based startup recently raised $80 million in funding to support its expansion.

The platform offers features including document analysis, contract review capabilities, and a Word add-in that helps lawyers identify risks and relevant clauses in commercial agreements.
