Noxtua and Midpage Bring US Legal Data to Europe

Noxtua and Midpage have partnered to give European legal professionals access to US case law on sovereign European infrastructure.

European lawyers working on cross-border matters involving US law have long had to use American legal research platforms, exposing sensitive client data to US jurisdiction under the CLOUD Act. This partnership closes that gap by combining Midpage's US legal database with Noxtua's European-hosted AI infrastructure.

The Partnership

Noxtua, a Legal AI company founded in 2017 out of research at Oxford University and Imperial College London, has partnered with Midpage, a legal research platform founded in 2022 from ETH Zurich research. The collaboration was announced on April 29, 2026, from New York and Berlin.

Under the agreement, Midpage's database of US federal and state case law, statutes, and regulations will be integrated into Noxtua's Legal AI Workspace. Midpage's platform is updated daily and covers all binding US federal and state opinions.

The integration makes Noxtua the first Legal AI to combine US legal content with sovereign European cloud infrastructure. All client data processed through Noxtua remains on certified European servers, outside the reach of the US CLOUD Act.

Who Uses It

Noxtua serves legal professionals across Europe through its GDPR-compliant Legal AI Workspace. The platform enables lawyers to research, analyze, and draft legal documents. It holds certifications including BSI C5, TISAX, ISO 27001, 9001, 27018, 27017, and 42001.

Midpage is trusted by over 300 law firms, ranging from boutique practices to large firms. Its AI research tool lets lawyers search case law, analyze results, and produce cited answers directly within a drafting environment.

Noxtua has raised approximately 81 million euros in a Series B round. Strategic investors include C.H.BECK, a leading German legal publisher, along with law firms CMS and Dentons.

Availability and Pricing

The US legal data module will be made available to existing Noxtua users in the coming weeks. Noxtua has not yet disclosed pricing details, stating only that more information will follow.

Noxtua operates offices in Paris, Berlin, Zagreb, Munich, and Fribourg. Midpage is headquartered in the US and focuses on the US legal research market.
