Pinsent Masons Partners With Legora on AI Rollout

Pinsent Masons has partnered with legal AI platform Legora to roll out AI tools across the firm, starting with 1,000 users.

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons announced on February 23, 2026, a global strategic partnership with legal AI platform Legora, following a pilot programme across its corporate, commercial, and property groups, with the goal of improving how lawyers deliver work for clients.

This partnership reflects a broader shift in how large law firms are adopting AI, moving away from generic software purchases toward co-developed tools built around specific legal workflows. For law firms and their clients, that distinction matters.

The Pilot Programme

Pinsent Masons ran a structured pilot of Legora across three practice groups before committing to a firmwide rollout. The pilot focused on pinpointing specific use cases rather than testing the platform broadly.

The results guided the firm's rollout plan. Legora is now being implemented across the Transactional Services and Property groups, with pilots starting in all remaining practice groups.

The firm currently has 1,000 Legora users and plans to expand that number as more use cases are validated across different teams.

Rollout and Support

To support adoption, Pinsent Masons is using a cohort of AI Champions drawn from across the firm. These are lawyers ranging from associate to partner level who have been trained to help colleagues learn and use the platform.

This internal support structure is designed to speed up practical adoption. Rather than relying solely on external training, the firm is building knowledge from within its own teams.

The phased rollout approach means the firm is not deploying the technology all at once. Each group goes live after use cases have been tested and confirmed to work.

What the Partnership Covers

The partnership is not limited to licensing the Legora platform. Pinsent Masons and Legora will work together to develop new tools and approaches tailored to legal workflows.

Director of Transformation Neil Green said: "Our structured pilot was developed with colleagues in corporate, commercial and property and enabled us to rapidly pinpoint effective use cases. That clarity means our subsequent phased firmwide implementation will deliver meaningful results far more quickly."

The focus of this collaboration is on improving the client experience. The firm has stated that its clients face pressure to demonstrate value through technology, and the partnership is aimed at addressing that directly.
