Relativity Connects RelativityOne With Microsoft Copilot for Legal Operations

Relativity said on Aug. 31, 2026, that RelativityOne can now connect with Microsoft Copilot through the Model Context Protocol, allowing legal teams to run selected platform administration tasks using natural-language requests. The integration brings workspace, case-data and reporting functions into Microsoft’s productivity environment while keeping the underlying controls in RelativityOne.

The move reflects a broader shift in legal technology from standalone AI interfaces toward assistants embedded in the software employees already use. Relativity has been extending RelativityOne through application programming interfaces, partners and recent MCP connections. Its Copilot tie-up adds Microsoft 365 to that distribution strategy as legal departments push enterprise AI beyond drafting and search into operational workflows. That expansion also raises the importance of permissions, auditability and data boundaries, particularly in litigation and investigations.
