Relativity Expands AI Document Review Tools to Five Asian Markets

Relativity, a global legal technology company, announced on July 8, 2025, that it will make two generative AI solutions available to all RelativityOne instances in Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore and South Korea. The aiR for Review and aiR for Privilege products will equip legal, investigation, and compliance teams across these Asian markets with AI-powered document review and privilege identification capabilities to help navigate complex legal data challenges while benefiting from enhanced infrastructure and privacy protections.

The expansion builds on Relativity's existing global presence, which serves more than 300,000 users across approximately 40 countries. Versatile Applications Beyond Traditional Litigation

The aiR for Review solution supports investigations into fraud, bribery, corruption and whistleblower complaints. Legal and compliance teams use the tool for Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, cross-border data transfer assessments and anti-money laundering efforts.

Additional applications include M&A due diligence, risk assessments, trade secret theft inquiries, white-collar investigations and HR-related matters. More than 200 customers have adopted aiR for Review, while over 140 use aiR for Privilege. The scalability and transparent natural language reasoning of this technology help customers secure faster results while uncovering deeper insights from data.

KordaMentha, an advisory firm operating across Australia and Asia Pacific, achieved significant efficiency gains after implementing aiR for Review. The solution enabled comprehensive document review under tight disclosure deadlines, saving over 25 days and reducing costs by 85%. The implementation helped KordaMentha uncover several unanticipated findings that drove organizational change.

Relativity plans to introduce prompt kickstarter capability within aiR for Review in the coming months. Users will upload case background documents like review protocols or disclosure requests, and the system will automatically generate expert prompts for document analysis. This feature will produce comprehensive matter overviews, including key people, organizations, term descriptions and relevance criteria.

The aiR for Privilege solution will receive enhanced entity classification features to better identify and define individual and organizational roles in legal matters. Additionally, the system will automate context building that AI uses to make privilege decisions. These updates aim to improve precision and efficiency in privilege review processes while helping users find privileged content faster.
