Summize Acquires InnoLaw Group's Team and Assets

Summize, a contract lifecycle management software company, has acquired key personnel and proprietary assets from InnoLaw Group (ILG), a CLM consultancy.

The acquisition brings ILG's legal operations specialists directly into Summize's implementation team. As demand for AI-powered contracting software grows, legal teams need faster rollouts and stronger change management support alongside the technology itself.

The Deal Details

Summize acquired ILG's personnel and proprietary assets, but not its founder. Lucy Bassli, CEO and founder of InnoLaw Group, will not be joining Summize. She will continue as an independent advisor to legal tech startups and executives.

Lara Trope, Chief Client Officer at InnoLaw, will lead Summize's implementation function. Existing ILG client engagements will be completed through arrangements with either ILG, Summize, or a trusted ILG partner, by mutual agreement. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Why It Matters

Traditional CLM projects can take months to deliver value. Summize states its customers can go live in as little as four weeks. The platform integrates with tools including Outlook, Word, Teams, and Salesforce.

The ILG team adds CLM implementation expertise to Summize's in-house capabilities. The company says this will support larger, more complex enterprise deployments across multiple industry sectors globally.
