TCS Partners With Anthropic to Bring Claude to Regulated Sectors

TCS and Anthropic announced a partnership on June 12, 2026, to deploy Claude across regulated industries worldwide.

Tata Consultancy Services will roll out Claude to 50,000 employees across 56 countries, build Claude-powered products for clients, and join the Claude Partner Network. The partnership targets financial services, healthcare, the public sector, and other regulated industries.

Regulated industries require accuracy and auditability in their technology systems. TCS brings decades of experience in regulatory compliance, combined with Anthropic's AI models built for high-stakes, accuracy-dependent work.

The deal gives Anthropic a route into thousands of enterprises through TCS's global client base, while TCS gains AI capabilities to package into industry-specific products.

Customer Zero Approach

TCS will first deploy Claude internally across its engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales teams. The company calls this its "customer zero" approach, using internal learnings to shape client offerings.

TCS is also building a dedicated practice for the partnership. This team will combine consultants, engineers, and industry specialists to design and run Claude-based systems for clients.

Industry Products

TCS plans to package Claude into specific offerings for different sectors. These include claims processing tools for insurers and lending advisory systems for banks.

Implementation will span financial services, public services, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecom, and medical technology. TCS teams will both build and run these systems for client organizations.

Early Deployments

Several TCS units have already started using Claude. Diligenta, TCS's UK life and pensions business, will use Claude to serve its more than 22 million policyholders.

TCS's banking and financial services product teams will use Claude Code to improve productivity in software engineering and IT operations. Engineering teams will also build reusable skills and plugins for the Claude Code ecosystem, starting with claims adjudication and lending advisory tools.

TCS iON, the company's assessment and certification arm, will deliver Claude training and certification programs. TCS iON conducts more than 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 cities in India.

K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, said enterprise AI value comes from understanding business context, orchestrating complex systems, and applying deep AI engineering talent. He said combining Claude with TCS's industry expertise and engineering rigor would help customers move faster to production, particularly in industries where trust, resilience, and regulatory discipline matter most.

Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, said the company built Claude to be safe, trusted, and helpful, particularly in contexts where accuracy matters most. He added that the partnership deepens Anthropic's commitment to India, which he described as the company's second-largest market.
