Thomson Reuters has acquired Noetica, Inc., a New York-based AI platform that transforms transaction data into market intelligence for legal professionals.

Thomson Reuters Corporation announced on February 10, 2026, the acquisition of Noetica, Inc., an AI-native startup founded in 2022 that converts corporate transaction data into structured market intelligence. The Toronto-based global content and technology company plans to integrate Noetica's analytics platform with CoCounsel, its AI technology, to help deal professionals benchmark terms and analyze transaction data during negotiations.

Deal professionals currently lack tools to quickly determine market-standard terms during transaction negotiations. Noetica's platform addresses this gap by providing real-time search and semantic analysis across over 1.5 billion terms, enabling lawyers and financial advisors to benchmark deal terms with precision. The acquisition strengthens Thomson Reuters' vertical AI capabilities in transactional markets.

Platform Capabilities

Noetica's platform provides secure, single-tenant deployments of transaction deal data. The system delivers qualitative and quantitative benchmarking, natural-language term search, term-trend analysis, and deal-level risk signals. These features enable practitioners to confidently determine standard market terms versus outliers.

The platform processes 1.5 billion terms with high accuracy. It helps legal and financial professionals streamline transaction workflows through vertical AI specialization designed specifically for deal-making environments.

Strategic Integration

Thomson Reuters will integrate Noetica's AI-native analytics across CoCounsel to bring real-time market insight directly into legal work. This integration will enable deal professionals to benchmark key deal terms during transaction negotiations and receive deeper transaction data analysis throughout the deal workflow.

Thomson Reuters Ventures, the company's enterprise technology VC fund, was an early investor in Noetica's Series A funding round. This investment supported the expansion of Noetica's AI-native platform before the acquisition.
