Wordsmith AI and Cognia Law partnered on February 25, 2026, to deliver AI-powered legal managed services to in-house teams.

The London-based announcement marks a strategic deal between Wordsmith, an AI platform built for in-house legal departments, and Cognia Law, a global Alternative Legal Service Provider (ALSP, a company that delivers legal services outside of traditional law firms.

Together, they will offer technology implementation, legal engineering, and ongoing operational delivery to help corporate legal teams get measurable value from AI tools.

In-house legal teams routinely fail to see returns on AI investments, not because the technology underperforms, but because implementation and operationalization are left incomplete. The Partnership

Cognia will incorporate Wordsmith into two distinct tracks. First, it will use the platform internally to automate work within its own managed legal service offerings. Second, it will help enterprise clients implement and configure Wordsmith within their own legal departments, integrating it into their existing technology ecosystems.

The combined model covers contracting, governance, workflow orchestration, and compliance operations. Cognia provides the legal engineering, configuration support, and day-to-day operational management. Wordsmith provides the AI platform and its proprietary legal intelligence layer.
