Ctrl AI Names Former Housing Ombudsman Executive to Lead Strategic Partnerships

Ctrl AI has appointed former Housing Ombudsman dispute-resolution chief Jennifer Ryans to build partnerships across housing and alternative dispute resolution ahead of new statutory deadlines taking effect in November 2026. Ryans will join the UK legal technology company as director of strategic partnerships while remaining a non-executive director at The Property Ombudsman. Her remit covers housing providers, ombudsman services and other organisations handling disputes.

The appointment places sector experience at the centre of Ctrl AI’s expansion strategy. Founded in 2024, the company develops software for complex disputes and decisions, combining AI analysis and structured reasoning with human oversight and an auditable record of how decisions are reached. That positioning matters as housing organisations confront higher caseloads, tighter complaint-handling expectations and the practical challenge of applying AI without weakening accountability. Ctrl AI’s move also reflects a broader shift in legal technology: vendors increasingly need operational credibility in regulated sectors, not only technical products, to persuade institutional buyers to change established workflows.
