Haast Raises $12M to Automate Enterprise Compliance

Haast, a New York-based AI compliance startup, raised $12 million in Series A funding to automate regulatory review inside enterprise workflows.

The round was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from DST Global Partners, Airtree, Aura Ventures, and Black Sheep Capital. The funding brings Haast's total capital raised to $17.05 million. The company plans to use the funds to scale its agentic workflows, accelerate product development, and expand its global enterprise footprint.

This raise matters because compliance teams at large enterprises are struggling to keep up with a surge in AI-generated content. Manual review processes are slowing down operations at a time when businesses need to move faster. Haast offers infrastructure-level automation to close that gap.

The Core Problem

Corporate content volume has grown 8x to 10x as AI tools make content generation nearly cost-free. Legal and compliance teams have not scaled at the same pace.

According to Haast's own research, compliance and legal teams spend 70% of their time on manual, repetitive, or otherwise automatable tasks. This creates significant delays across marketing, product, and go-to-market functions.

The problem is no longer just slow review cycles. As content volume increases and regulatory requirements grow more complex across global, federal, and state levels, manual review becomes operationally unsustainable.

What Haast Does

Haast builds compliance infrastructure that automates regulatory and policy review inside enterprise tools. The platform uses AI agents to embed organizational policy, risk appetite, and approval logic directly into day-to-day workflows.

Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, Haast operates at the infrastructure level. It connects frontline teams such as content marketers with compliance and legal reviewers, while maintaining an audit trail that cannot be altered.

The platform is designed to provide enterprise-grade AI interpretability, meaning teams can understand and verify how compliance decisions are being made, without slowing down operations.

Funding and Growth

Haast was founded in 2023 and has built a customer base that includes Fortune 500 companies. The company reports 4.5x revenue growth over the past 12 months and zero customer churn.

Kunal Vankadara, cofounder and CEO of Haast, described the company's goal in direct terms. "Enterprises shouldn't have to choose between moving fast and staying compliant, and that tradeoff is exactly what manual review processes currently force on teams," he said. "We built Haast to transform compliance from a generic assistive checkpoint into an intelligent, automated engine embedded directly within global enterprises."

Peak XV Partners Managing Director Rohit Agarwal explained the investor perspective. "We are seeing a major shift across large enterprises: a content explosion driven by LLMs alongside an increasingly complex regulatory landscape," he said. "In a world where every screen and ad is personalized, manual review is no longer just slow, it's impossible."

The Series A brings together a group of investors with global reach. DST Global Partners is known for backing large-scale technology businesses. Airtree is an Australia-based venture firm, reflecting Haast's presence in the Sydney market. Aura Ventures and Black Sheep Capital round out the round.

What Comes Next

Haast will use the new capital across three areas: scaling its existing agentic workflow products, speeding up product development, and growing its enterprise presence internationally.

The company currently operates out of New York, San Francisco, and Sydney. Its international structure positions it to serve enterprise clients operating under different regulatory regimes across multiple geographies.

With LLM search optimization becoming a standard part of content strategy, the volume of content requiring compliance review is expected to remain elevated. Haast is targeting that sustained demand with its automated infrastructure approach.

The broader legal technology market has seen growing interest in AI tools that move beyond simple document drafting or search. Haast's focus on embedding compliance logic directly into operational workflows represents a specific and infrastructure-focused approach within that space.

As Vankadara put it, the company's aim is to allow teams to "move at AI speed with confidence, unlocking real efficiency and output gains without ever compromising governance."
