Lawfront Acquires Reading Firm Field Seymour Parkes

Lawfront acquires Reading-based Field Seymour Parkes, adding 85 legal professionals and a £15m turnover firm to its national network.

Lawfront has acquired Field Seymour Parkes (FSP), a Reading-based law firm with £15m in annual turnover, on 2 April 2026. The deal brings 85 qualified professionals into the Lawfront platform and expands its geographic reach into the Reading market. FSP serves both business and private clients across five core practice areas. The acquisition supports Lawfront's ongoing strategy to build a national network of regional law firms.

This deal signals continued consolidation in the UK legal market, where multi-site legal platforms are actively acquiring established regional firms to scale operations, talent, and technology investment.

The Acquired Firm

Field Seymour Parkes is a well-established law firm based in Reading. It operates across Real Estate, Corporate, Private Client, Employment, and Dispute Resolution practices.

The firm has recorded a 9% compound annual growth rate in recent years. It holds one Tier 1 and seven Tier 2 rankings in The Legal 500, a widely referenced directory that evaluates law firm quality across practice areas.

FSP's client base spans both individual and business clients, making it a broad-service regional firm rather than a specialist practice.

Deal Rationale

Lawfront identified FSP as a strong fit for its national platform based on several factors. These include the firm's profitability, consistent growth record, and established presence in a geography where Lawfront previously had no footprint.

Neil Lloyd, CEO of Lawfront, said: "Field Seymour Parkes is a great addition to Lawfront. They bring a strong market position in a new geography for us, helping fill out our national network of regional firms."

Lloyd also pointed to FSP's leadership and internal culture as key considerations. He noted that the firm has "an ambitious management team and a great people culture," which he described as criteria Lawfront looks for in regional partner firms.

What Changes for FSP

Following the acquisition, Lawfront has committed to investing in FSP's people, IT infrastructure, and artificial intelligence tools. These investments are intended to help the firm take on more complex and higher-value client work.

Ian Machray, Managing Partner of Field Seymour Parkes, said: "This partnership will accelerate our organic growth ambitions, enabling us to invest in new talent, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and take on increasingly complex, high-value work for our clients."

Machray also indicated that the firm's existing client culture will be maintained. He described Lawfront's platform as providing "the infrastructure and support to secure our firm's long-term success while preserving the client-focused culture that has defined us."

The firm will continue operating under its existing identity in Reading while accessing the broader resources of the Lawfront group.

National Network Strategy

This acquisition reflects Lawfront's stated goal of building a geographically distributed network of regional law firms across the UK. By bringing in firms with existing market positions in specific regions, Lawfront avoids building local presence from scratch.

FSP's entry into the group adds Reading to Lawfront's coverage map. The firm's £15m turnover and 9% compound annual growth rate make it one of the more substantial regional acquisitions in the legal consolidation space.

The Legal 500 rankings held by FSP, including one Tier 1 position, provide an independent marker of the firm's standing among clients and peers in its practice areas.

Lawfront's approach involves retaining the leadership and culture of acquired firms while providing central investment in technology and operational support. This model is increasingly common among legal services consolidators seeking to grow without disrupting established client relationships.
