ViClarity, an Iowa and Ireland-based compliance technology firm, launched Reg Monitor on April 8, 2026, an AI-powered tool that automatically tracks and summarizes regulatory updates for corporate compliance teams.
Keeping up with regulatory change is a growing burden for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams. Rules shift constantly at both federal and state levels, and manually monitoring dozens of sources creates gaps that expose organizations to compliance risk. Reg Monitor is built to close those gaps automatically.
The Product
Reg Monitor scans official regulatory sources in real time and filters updates by industry, jurisdiction, and geographic footprint. When a relevant rule changes, the tool generates an AI-written summary that tells compliance staff what changed, what it means, and why it matters.
Users can also drill down into the full regulatory text for a closer review. The tool is embedded within ViClarity's broader compliance management platform, not offered as a standalone product.
The Problem It Solves
GRC teams have historically relied on fragmented sources to track rule changes, a process that is both time-consuming and prone to error. As federal and state regulatory activity increases, the volume of updates that compliance teams must track has grown beyond what manual processes can reliably handle.
"As the patchwork of federal and state regulations grows more complex, relying on fragmented sources to track regulatory updates creates real risk for GRC teams," said Ogie Sheehy, ViClarity's global CEO.
ViClarity states that Reg Monitor is the first in a planned series of AI-powered capabilities it intends to add to its platform.
How It Works
Once a regulatory update is surfaced, Reg Monitor provides a summary of implications and a set of recommended response steps. From there, compliance teams can assess impact, trigger structured workflows, assign tasks, and capture evidence, all within the same platform.
This integration is central to the product's design. ViClarity positions Reg Monitor not just as a monitoring tool, but as a starting point for regulatory response that preserves a full audit trail.
"Reg Monitor identifies the updates that actually apply to an organization's jurisdiction, allowing compliance teams to focus on implementation instead of constant monitoring," Sheehy said.
The tool supports tracking of updates from regulators such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), among other federal and state agencies relevant to a user's sector.
Market Context
The regulatory and compliance software market has grown more competitive. Several startups in the space have recently announced funding rounds, including Norm AI, Abstract, Awesome Compliance, and SCOREalytics. Established GRC software company MetricStream also offers regulatory monitoring. Many law firms provide similar services to clients.
ViClarity's stated differentiation is the integration of monitoring and response within a single platform, reducing the need to move between tools when acting on a new regulatory requirement. The company claims this approach cuts time spent scanning for updates, speeds up comprehension of regulatory change, reduces the risk of missed requirements, and produces auditable records of compliance activity.
