CopySight Raises $3 Million to Expand AI Copyright Screening Into Video

CopySight raised $3 million in seed funding to expand its intellectual property risk platform from AI-generated images into video. Mucker Capital led the round, joined by Taisu VC, Flint Capital and Yellow Rocks. The financing accompanies the release of CopyScore V2, which screens generated video for potential copyright, trademark and likeness exposure before publication.

CopySight is targeting a control gap created as generative AI moves from experimentation into commercial production. Image and video models can reproduce recognizable characters, logos, celebrity features and artistic elements, leaving legal teams to assess assets that may contain thousands of individual frames. The company’s approach shifts that review earlier in the creative process, positioning IP clearance as production infrastructure rather than a final legal check. That model places CopySight in an emerging segment of legal technology focused on governing AI outputs, distinct from established categories such as legal research and contract management.
