HaystackID Taps Jeff Shapiro to Lead European Growth

HaystackID has appointed Jeff Shapiro as Managing Director for Europe, marking a strategic expansion of leadership in the UK and continental markets.

The Chicago-based e-discovery and legal technology provider announced the hire on February 10, 2026. Shapiro will operate from London and drive business development across European markets. The appointment follows HaystackID's recent launch of a London office and expansion of its Global Advisory team with forensics analyst Matthew Hamilton, who joined after 12 years with the London Metropolitan Police.

Shapiro's Background

Shapiro brings multijurisdictional expertise spanning e-discovery, information governance, and cyber response. He holds a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law.

His career includes senior roles at a top global consultancy and a Magic Circle law firm. Previous positions include Director of Forensic & Integrity Services at EY and eDiscovery Support Manager at Clifford Chance.

He specialized as a trusted advisor on complex matters involving regulatory response and data privacy. Shapiro will collaborate with existing project management and operations teams in Dublin and the UK.

Strategic Expansion

The London-based managing director role strengthens HaystackID's ability to serve international clients with on-the-ground support. Shapiro will focus on delivering Global Advisory services in data privacy, compliance, investigations, and AI governance.
