Lucio AI Opens New York Office, Eyes 100 US Hires

Lucio AI, a legal intelligence platform, has opened its first US office in New York City's Financial District, targeting 100 new hires over the next year.

The move makes Lucio's US presence official after a period of faster-than-expected growth. The company now serves over 250 clients across law firms in the US, UK, and UAE, and its US client base has expanded to firms in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

The US legal AI market is consolidating quickly around a small number of well-funded platforms. Most of that activity has focused on large enterprise deployments at the biggest firms. Lucio's entry into New York signals a bet on a different segment: mid-size law firms doing complex work without access to enterprise-scale AI infrastructure.

New York Presence

The Financial District office will house Lucio's product, customer success, and go-to-market teams. It will also serve as the company's hub for North American partnerships and product development.

New York was chosen because it is the densest legal market in the country, placing Lucio's teams close to the firms shaping how AI is being adopted in day-to-day legal practice.

The Hiring Push

Lucio is actively recruiting for roles across sales, customer success, marketing, and legal engineering out of the New York office. The company plans to grow its US team significantly over the coming 12 months, with open roles listed on its careers page at lucioai.com/careers.

The scale of the hiring plan, 100 people over one year, reflects the pace at which US demand has grown. Lucio states that demand from US firms has consistently outpaced its internal forecasts.

Mid-Market Focus

Much of Lucio's US growth has come from mid-size law firms, a segment that has received less attention from legal AI platforms focused on large enterprise contracts.

But there are thousands of mid-size firms across this country doing serious, complex work with none of that infrastructure, and almost nobody is building for them. That's the gap we've been closing. Opening in New York makes that commitment a lot more visible."

The company's product covers research, drafting, review, and workflow management. Its platform is designed for use within the regular workflow of a working lawyer, rather than as a standalone or periodic tool.
